Description: Group 92 was excited and proud to be a part of the construction of a new facility that would help support mental health issues for the Niagara region. The Branscombe Mental Health Centre includes the head office for Pathstone Mental Health, a non-profit charitable organization offering free mental health services to children, youth, and families across the greater Niagara region. The Centre was another multi-company effort led by Brouwer Construction. Mechanical engineering for the project was completed by ARC Engineering, and Group 92 utilized 3D modelling techniques to assist with duct and structural interferences. The building required a mechanical shaft to support mechanical services extending from the basement to the roof. The mechanical shaft system was designed, prefabricated, tested, and inspected before installation. Then, the whole shaft was simply hoisted into place with one crane lift, which eliminated downtime and ensured an efficient installation.
