Roxul Insulation

ROXUL Inc. is the leading North American manufacturer of stone wool insulation products for the North American market. We have two strategically placed manufacturing facilities, one in Milton (East) and the other in Grand Forks, British Columbia (West). Both factories use world-class technology to produce residential products, as well as a wide array of industrial, commercial, and marine stone wool insulation products.

ROCKWOOL International entered the North American market for the first time in 1988 by acquiring the Milton manufacturing facility. This location marks the group’s first North American factory and serves as ROXUL Inc’s head office for North American operations. Since 1998, Milton has operated at capacity and has continued to grow every year. Throughout the 1990’s, ROCKWOOL International invested millions into the Milton facility to increase capacity, establish recycle facilities and emissions controls systems to improve operations and protect the environment.

The benefits of ROXUL’s insulation products, including acoustic and fire performance, as well as environmental, have catapulted ROXUL’s popularity among builders and DIYs. In March 2009, ROXUL started up a state-of-the-art second production line in Milton to meet industry demand.

ROXUL’s western facility is in Grand Forks, has been in operation since November 1999. This facility is the first expansion of operations within North America. Grand Forks operates at capacity to meets the needs of North America’s western regions. Throughout 2008, ROCKWOOL International invested millions of dollars to reduce factory emissions, improve air quality, and lessen our environmental impact.
